OLEON N.V., Belgium - manufacturer of natural chemistry. Specialty of OLEON lies in converting natural fats and oils into a wide range of oleochemical products, such as fatty acids, glycerine, esters, dimers, technical oils, specialty oleochemicals and biodiesel. As a leading producer of oleochemicals made from renewable raw materials, OLEON combines in its’ products high performance with ready biodegradability.

The head office of OLEON is located in Ertvelde near Ghent (Belgium). There are two production sites in Belgium (Ertvelde and Oelegem), one in Germany (Emmerich), one in Compiègne (France) and one in Port Klang (Malaysia). Because of the favorable location of plants, various transportation possibilities across land and sea are at OLEON’s disposal: the producer buys raw materials from all over the world and its end products are exported to more than 100 countries.

Quality is OLEON’s main priority above all. That is why all producer’s plants are certified according to ISO standards. Commitment to the environment is also of the highest priority, and OLEON’s sites are certified according to the ISO 14001 standards.

The producer follows the Responsible Care Program of the chemical industry and it is also an active member of the Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil. Furthermore, OLEON’s food grade products conform to Kosher, HACCP and Halal standards.

OLEON starts from renewable raw materials. The key technology is the chemistry of molecules derived from vegetable oils and animal fats.
